This is really just outrageous; dark fruited, almost plum and melon and there is something just so dark and heady, wild and perfumed and sexy about this, wow: absolutely intoxicating. Interestingly, there is also a bit more soil and iron in the wine, a little tip of the hat to the Muschelkalk. On the palate, this is certainly the most glycerin rich, coating and widest Pinot, with bigger, plumper, rounder tannins. Still very elegant and tense, but the most tapered of them.
