Jeff is a Texas-born, NYC-based beverage professional. After leading beverage operations for the entire Bastianich group, in 2019 Jeff left the floor and began his consulting career and a web series about wine, life and culture called Sip Trip. Jeff has most recently opened his own import and distribution business, Volcanic Selections. Apart from Jeff’s day job he is a passionate advocate & practitioner of BBQ in all of its guises and glories. James is a Brooklyn-based sommelier, writer, and educator. He co-founded Industry Sessions, a free series for BIPOC beverage professionals. His personal project, the Children’s Atlas of Wine, is a website that includes hand-drawn fine art prints of wine regions, as well as a series of public remote wine classes focused on emerging places, overlooked grape varieties, and the people who grow them.
