15% DISCOUNT ON ANY 12 BOTTLES OF WINE - ENTER "CASE15" AT CHECKOUT
Art Deco posters and pitchmen with nicknames and fake stories cooked up by advertisers have been selling us house champagne as a luxury brand since branding was invented. (In fact, champagne helped to invent it.) But take away the sabers and the coupes and the multinational fashion corporations and there still are people farming living soils, and still wines of place that come from them, however improbably.
Champagne is the most tightly regulated and controlled wine region in the world, with price schedules and reserve production mandates and compulsory distillation for anything the auditors catch coloring outside of the lines. But there are more farmers making their own champagne instead of selling to the big houses than ever before. And there are still bottles that, when I taste them, remind me that champagne was a wine and a soil before it was a method.
Each class kit serves 1-5 drinkers and includes three bottles of wine, food pairing and service suggestions, a weekly playlist, and a link to an hour and 20 minute remote wine tasting with sommelier JAMES SLIGH.
