Mojito: The traditional Cuban highball and unofficial poolside drink of Miami. When it's done right the kiss of sweetness is an incredible vehicle for crystalline rum and mint.
How to make it:
3 mint leaves
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces rum
3/4 ounce lime juice
Club soda
Mint sprig
Muddle the mint with the simple syrup in a shaker. Add the rum, lime juice and ice, and give it a quick, hard shake. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Top with the club soda. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
Pro tip: Don't you dare use sprite or any other sticky soda! Also,Cachaca in place of classic rum is tasty take on the classic.
