In the cellar, Géza uses no added yeast, sugar, or acid, and does not block malolactic fermentation. He is known for his bold experimental style, especially when it comes to aging his wines. This is an aged Tokaji blend from the historic first-class vineyard of Úrágya in Tokaj. Long and deep, with citrus, white flowers and cream on the nose, and green apples and walnuts on the palate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVintage: 2018 was a great, easy vintage according to Géza. They were able to make all styles of wine, including Aszú. He wishes every vintage were like this one. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHarvest: The grapes were harvested by hand in the middle of October 2018. Varietals: Hárslevelű 60%, Furmint 40%.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSoil and estate: Úrágya is probably the most famous vineyard in Mád, and one of the original first-class vineyard sites from the historic classification system. The soil is extremely stony and rich in clay and rhyolite, with high levels of iron oxide. The vineyard faces southeast, and the vines are more than 35 years old. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFermentation and Winemaking: Whole clusters were gently pressed before fermentation.
