The Baião sub-region is on the border with the Douro Demarcated Region. It has an intermediate altitude: colder winters with less rain and\u003cbr\u003ehot, dry summers. These characteristics allow laterripening grape varieties, such as Avesso, to ripen correctly. This results in wines with intense, fruity aromas, and a lively acidity.\u003cbr\u003eGrape-growing year: The 2022 wine-growing year was characterised by a warm, dry winter and an unusually warm, dry spring and summer. Particularly noteworthy was the low rainfall throughout most of the growing season and the high temperatures in May, July and\u003cbr\u003eAugust, which had an impact on the vines and the ripening of the grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFERMENTATION ON FINE LEES, WITH BATTONAGE, FOR 4 MONTHS\u003cbr\u003eAged in 500 litre French oak barrels\u003cbr\u003eOenology: Fermentation in 50% stainless steel vats with batonnage on fine lees for 4 months.
