Istine is a family estate located in Radda in Chianti with vineyards in Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. It is run by Angela Fronti, whose family own a vineyard construction and management company. Angela only began making wine from the family vineyards in 2009 (previously their wine was sold off in bulk). Istine consists of three separate vineyards located at high altitudes planted on the rocky galestro and alberese soils in which the Sangiovese of Chianti Classico thrives. Since 2016 the estate is certified organic.
The Istine Rosato is made from 100% Sangiovese cold fermented in cement tanks. Deep pink in color with a lush nose of ripe red fruit aromas. Elegant on the palate with bright acidity and a mineral-driven finish. An easy to drink rosato that can be enjoyed with grilled fish or vegetables.
