Fermentation is fermentation, whether we’re talking grapes or malted barley or pears — and native yeast fermentation, the aromas it unlocks and the pleasures it brings, is pretty close to the last magic we’ve got. Sometimes, though, we put wine on a little bit of a pedestal, as though fermented grapes were something completely apart. Cider, which is another way of saying ‘wine made from apples’, often gets left out while we go off to pay attention (and money, and time) to grape wine. What would happen if we flipped the script?
Each class kit serves 1-5 drinkers and includes three bottles of wine, food pairing and service suggestions, a weekly playlist, and a link to an hour and 20 minute remote wine tasting with sommelier JAMES SLIGH.
Orders for summer sessions will be shipped in June to beat the summer heat! Registrations close Monday, June 14. Participants will receive options for tasting dates on or around the second weekend of August, or a recording for later enjoyment. James will send a pre-class note with the link and pairings 48 hours before the tasting.
