VINEYARD: Planted in 1994 at 2100 feet above the town of Occidental and three miles from the Pacific.
VINIFICATION: Vinified using native yeats for primary and malolactic fermentation. 100% whole cluster
AGING: 11 months in neutral French oak
NOTES: 22 year old vines planted at 900’ 4.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean west of the town of Occidental. This is the oldest planting of Syrah on the Sonoma coast. Beginning in 2013 we were lucky to become the new stewards of this site and have control over the farming. The wine was vinified, like our other Syrahs, retaining 100% whole clusters and aged in neutral French oak barrels for 10 months. 8 barrels produced.
