By placing an order on this site, you have read, understand, and expressly agree with the terms and conditions below. It is especially important to understand our Shipping Terms.
We ship nationwide, except for the following states:
Alabama, Delaware, Maine, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Utah.
If we are unable to ship to your area, we apologize for any inconvenience and suggest that shipping be arranged to a direct-shipping friendly state.
By arranging for transportation of your order, Leon & Son is providing a service and engaging a common carrier on you/the buyer's behalf. In utilizing this service from us, you recognize the responsibility for complying with local regulations or tax requirements rests solely with you, the buyer. The buyer hereby agrees to take sole responsibility for complying with all laws regarding importation of alcohol into your state.
Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from Leon & Son Wine to the buyer in the State of New York, which is why New York sales tax is charged on your order.
All packages must be accepted and signed by an adult at least 21 years of age.
You, the buyer, are solely responsible for the shipment of alcohol and responsible for any loss or damage to goods once they have left our premises. By placing an order on this site, you authorize Leon & Son to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you and recognize that Leon & Son is not liable for the condition of your package upon delivery. If your package is damaged in transit, we are happy to assist you in contacting FedEx for reimbursement; however, the responsibility for this reimbursement lies is that of the carrier (FedEx).
We do not recommend shipping wine orders during the warmest and coldest months of the year, as extreme temperatures can be damaging. We are happy to hold or send your shipments throughout those periods, but it is your responsibility to indicate your preference in the "order comments" section at checkout or contact us with detailed instructions. If no instructions are provided, we will ship your package immediately. There are summer and winter months during which we will engage automatic shipping holds due to extreme temperatures, in which case we will contact you after your order is placed.
The carrier (currently FedEx) will contact you the day your order is shipped with your tracking details, shipping date, and anticipated delivery date.
Shipping orders may take up to 48 hours from the time they are placed to be processed and ready for shipping. Please take this window into account, including for Express and Overnight shipping speeds. All “Ground Shipping” orders placed after 12pm on Wednesdays will be shipped on Monday the following week, to avoid being held in FedEx facilities over the weekend where storage conditions may not be ideal.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and you will be provided with an estimated delivery date. These delivery dates are estimates, and do not account for unforeseen circumstances including shipping delays and lost or damaged packages.

RETURNS & REPLACEMENTS
New York State law only permits us to accept the return of goods that are defective; for such returns we can offer a replacement of the same item, refund a credit card, or we can issue a store credit. If you think you have received a faulty bottle, please bring it back to our store on Fulton St; for shipping orders, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please review your order confirmation email carefully to make sure you ordered the correct items and provided the correct shipping details. Leon & Son is not responsible for any incorrect order details provided by the buyer.
Cancellation of any order must be done within 10 days of placing the order and prior to the shipment of the order. All cancellations are subject to a 10% restocking fee, unless there was an error on our behalf. Our restocking fee is intended to cover the financial impact from multiple charges on returned sales. When your card is charged, your order is reserved for you. If you cancel your processed order, we then incur charges from your credit card provider on both ends of the transaction. Therefore, we strictly enforce the policy of a restocking fee if your card has been successfully charged. If we have not charged your credit card, you may cancel your order without being subject to a restocking fee.
No order may be canceled after 10 days of placing the order. No order may be canceled after it has shipped (the shipment is in the possession of the shipping carrier and subject to our shipping terms above).
Any return of unopened and undamaged alcohol that was incorrectly sent to the customer (i.e., wrong item or vintage) must be done within 10 days of the date on your receipt. Should this happen, please email or call us to notify us that you are returning the shipment. We will issue an exchange or refund on returned products that were incorrectly shipped to you. We do not accept return of any alcohol that has been opened, harmed during shipping, or harmed due to extreme weather conditions.
If you have forgotten to apply the " CASE15 " discount code to your order, we are happy to issue an online credit for 10% of the subtotal of your order (spirits are excluded).
