After formative years working alongside Vincent Laval in Champagne, Bruno Bienaimé felt a pull toward something quieter, more elemental. That search for a deeper connection to land and nature led him to the Jura — and in 2018, Domaine Bienaimé was born.

It took three years of patient, determined scouting before Bruno unearthed his first parcels: a handful of plots in Arlay, followed by a foothold near the storied slopes of Château Chalon. Today, the domaine covers just 3.2 hectares, planted to Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. The scale is small, but the vision is clear: to work in a way that gives the vineyard and the vintage the loudest voice.

Farming is meticulous and fully hands-on, grounded in respect for nature and the pursuit of honest, transparent wines. In the cellar, Bruno favors a low-intervention approach — no shortcuts, no heavy-handed technique, no excess filtration — allowing the wines to speak unencumbered. What emerges are crystalline, deeply pure expressions of the Jura’s distinctive terroir.

Though Domaine Bienaimé is still in its early chapters, the wines have already begun turning heads, a testament to Bruno’s quiet precision and his commitment to farming and winemaking that place integrity above all.
