2012 Domaine Armand Rousseau Pere et Fils Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru 'Clos des Ruchottes' Monopole, Cote de Nuits, France
$990.00
This comes from Rousseau’s monopole parcel perched just above Mazy-Chambertin in the northern sector of Gevrey’s grands crus, on limestone-and-clay soils; the holding is just over three acres. The 2012 was hand-harvested and rigorously sorted, saw a 5–7 day cool maceration, then moved by gravity to barrel for an élevage of roughly 18–24 months before being bottled unfiltered; in this vintage the team used about 20% new oak.
