2020 Fumey-Chatelain 'Remonte en Ligne' Arbois Pinot Noir

The 2020 Remonte en Ligne Pinot Noir comes from the lieu-dit Les Mélinaux, where the soils are a combination of limestone and marl with gryphées fossils (in the future, the wine will change its name to that of the place). It fermented with 100% full clusters, had a 20-day maceration and aged exclusively in a 2,000-liter stainless steel tank. It's still young, the tannins are present, it has darker fruit and it's a little earthier, with more body than Ploussard and Trousseau and with a touch of ink and some licorice, perhaps a faint animal twist, a bit wild. 2,500 bottles produced. - Luis Gutierrez
