The grapes for this wine are from a CCOF organic vineyard located on the east side of the Northern California Coast Range. This vineyard features well draining pinkish gravelly alluvial soils, a warm California climate that Grenache thrives in, unique canopy work to prevent overexposure to the sun and a polyculture that consists of fruit trees, olives and bees on site. We picked the fruit early for Grenache with the intention of making a light, easy-drinking red. The fruit was fermented open-air in a traditional oak French cuve, 50% destemmed, 50% whole cluster. A combination of punchdowns and pumpovers were used to keep the ferment happy and after 2 weeks the fermentation was pressed at dryness. After resting sur lie in neutral oak barrels for 6 months, the wine was racked and bottled, unfined, unfiltered, and no ameliorations save 15 ppm of SO2 at bottling.

A light glou glou red with a low ABV and a zippy acidity, great for parties and drinking chilled at the beach! Showcasing aromas of jolly rancher, sour cherry and briny watermelon with a tart, thirst-quenching palate, chill and glou glou to your hearts desire
