From the wind-scoured slopes of Brousseau Vineyard in the Chalone AVA—limestone-laced decomposed granite at elevation—this is Grenache rendered with lift and mineral snap. The fruit was hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts using a high proportion of whole clusters and gentle daily pump overs to favor perfume over extraction, then raised in neutral vessels to keep the site front and center; it was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.
