2018 Vinhos Imperfeitos 'D&V Code' Branco, Portugal
$187.99
A blend of old vines from Senhorim sub region of Dao and the Sousa sub region of Vinho Verde. Fermented and aged in a mixture of stainless steel, used Puligny Montrachet barrels, and concrete tanks.
A perfectly reductive, intensely nervy, and concentrated wines, that combines Portugal's two most famous granite terroirs. Both Senhorim and Sousa are known for having a more powdery, fine texture to their soils, slowing down ripening and concentrating the acids in the fruit. It's hard to pinpoint an exact analogy to this wine, although the new wave of great white Coteaux Champenois wouldn't be too far off the mark.
Arrives April 2026.
