2019 Adega Viuva Gomes Tinto Colares, Portugal
$62.00
Viúva Gomes Red is a unique wine crafted from indigenous Ramisco grapes grown in
sandy soils of Colares, Portugal. The vineyard's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and
Sintra's hills influences its maritime winds and misty climate. With 5 years of aging in
French oak, Chestnut, and Mahogany, this wine offers a light and precise profile with high
tannins and acidity, suitable for aging up to 30 years.
Harvested in 18kg-boxes, spontaneous fermentation in stainless-steel vats, 5-yearelevage in wood.
