The 2019 Ried Zieregg Vinothek Reserve GSTK is exclusively from the "Sieben Reihen" parcel that hosts old vines on blue-colored chalky marls. Aged for two years in 700-liter oak casks and for 12 months in stainless steel, the unfiltered Sauvignon offers a pure, fresh and rather coolish, slightly reductive and phenolic nose with grapefruit, lime zest and lemon juice as well as limestone aromas. Silky and lush on the palate, this is a tight and intense, salivating and full-bodied wine with body and soul yet a still discreet, though promising character. It's a very elegant, saline and mouth-salivating Sauvignon with lemon bitters and leafy notes on the intense and sustainable finish. 13% stated alcohol. Glass stopper.
