2022 Ruben Diaz 'Finca La Coronilla' Albillo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y Leon, Spain

Finca La Coronilla is an old vine vineyard where Albillo Real and Chasselas Dore are planted side by side. The vines are bush pruned and worked by hand. The two are picked separately as Albillo Real is very early to ripen.
The varieties are vinified separately. The grapes and de-stememed and macerated on their skins for 20 days. The varieties then ferment naturally in stainless steel. The two varieties are then blended and some of the wine ages for 5 months in a mix of old barrels and some remains in the stainless steel. Only 700 bottles are made.
