2022 Sandlands Kirschenmann Vineyard Cinsault, Lodi, California
$40.00
From Tegan Passalacqua’s own Kirschenmann Vineyard on Lodi’s east side (Mokelumne River AVA), this Cinsault grows on deep, Tokay fine sandy loam—old, own-rooted vines in super-draining soils swept by delta winds that keep the fruit fresh. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in open tops with gentle daily pump overs and a light touch of stem inclusion, then raised in neutral barrels to keep the site front and center; bottling was unfined, unfiltered, with modest sulfur. The 2022 is bright and silky, carrying wild strawberry, cranberry, rose, and white pepper over a cool, sandy-mineral line, finishing crisp and savory—delicious very lightly chilled.
This wine is offered from a private cellar, Terms and Conditions for Private Cellars apply.
