This cuvée is sourced from younger vines and select lower-elevation parcels within the estate’s holdings in Barolo and Barbaresco, including sections of Cannubi, San Lorenzo, and Rué that are not designated for Barolo. Farming is organic and traditional, with all fruit harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts in cement, using long macerations similar in style to the Barolo but with gentler extraction. Élevage is carried out in large neutral botti before bottling without fining or filtration. The wine is made in the classic Mascarello manner—vinified exactly like Barolo but from fruit selected to express a more immediate, early-drinking profile.
