2023 Cameron Winery Pinot Noir Dundee Hills, USA
$45.00
Cameron sources red grapes from 4 vineyards, two in the Dundee Hills, two in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. Each exhibits quite unique terroir and therefore, depending on your taste, preferences can vary significantly. All of the wines are fermented with the indigenous yeasts in open top tanks in which beautiful women immerse their nude bodies in the warm must to keep things exciting in the cellar. The resulting wines are aged for nearly 2 years in a mixture of French oak barrels varying from new to completely neutral and bottled without filtration.
The Dundee Hills Pinot noir is predominantly from Abbey Ridge Vineyard with a kiss of Clos Electrique. The nose is a medley of dark cherries, leather and rose petals. The palate is rich and concentrated with soft tannins and hints of rose and dried cherries. This wine is a harbinger for the fabulous single vineyard Pinot noirs to come.
Being our largest bottling of Pinot noir, the Dundee Hills blend can portend the broader strokes of the vintage. If the same holds true for 2023, Dear Reader, youâll be glad to hold onto the Camerons from this vintage. With its deep purple and ruby color, notes of ripe bing cherry, Italian plum and forest floor, and smooth but present tannin, the 2023 Dundee Hills Pinot noir is showing concentration fit for aging. Sage and western cedar on the nose and itâs bright acidity make this wine ready for immediate consumption â may we recommend some for now and some for later! - The Winery acre for the Pinot noirs Â
