2023 Domaine Forey Les Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune Premier Cru, France
$90.00
Beginning in 2023, Forey took ownership of a 0.7-hectare parcel of 30-year-old Pinot Noir (formerly part of Domaine Lucien Jacob) in the renowned Savigny-les-Beaune premier cru Les Vergelesses, situated in the easternmost sector of the appellation, adjacent to Pernand-Vergelesses. Raised in a combination of 500-liter and 228-liter barrels with 40% new oak, this is a concentrated, powerful wine with pronounced mineral-derived tension for which a few years of cellaring will do immense favors.
