2023 Domaine Forey Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge, Cote de Beaune, France
$60.00
A new wine in Forey’s lineup as of 2023, this Savigny-les-Beaune—formerly a part of Domaine Lucien Jacob—comes from a 0.4-hectare parcel of Pinot Noir in the Ez Connardises vineyard, nestled just south of premier cru Les Lavières in the center of the appellation. Raised entirely in 500-liter barrels (four total barrels, one of which is new), this offers classic Savigny meatiness, damp earth, and deep, attractively oak-inflected fruit on a well-balanced frame.
