2023 Wills Wine Syrah/Gamay VDF, France

A blend of both the Syrah from the high altitude, terraced granite slopes of Colombier-le-vieux, Ardèche; and the old vine Gamay from the pierre bleue soils of Bully, Beaujolais.
The wine has the spicy aromatics from the Syrah; with a more fleshed out, juicy mid pallet depth from the Gamay. Whole bunch vinification with gentle extraction brings bright aromatics and freshness on the pallet. Ageing in old 400 and 600 litre barrels to retain the purity of fruit.
