2020 Matias Riccitelli, 'Vinedo de Montana' Malbec, Argentina

Sourced from ungrafted old vines planted in the early 20th century in Las Compuertas and Vistalba (1,000–1,050m), this Malbec is grown on clay-loam soils with excellent drainage. Practicing organic farming, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts in small concrete vats at 26–28°C. Aged for 16 months in used French oak barrels.
