Forêts is a left-bank sector within Montmains, defined by thin clay over Kimmeridgian limestone and a cool, east-to-southeast exposure that delivers tension and cut. The Chardonnay is hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented with native yeasts. Élevage is on fine lees in stainless steel with a small portion in seasoned barrels, with no new oak, to preserve clarity and salinity. The 2023 is taut and mineral, showing citrus and green apple over oyster-shell snap and a long, chalk-lined finish.
