$90.00

The new release of Gallois-Bouché “Nos Terres Blanches” Blanc de Blancs from Guillaume Gallois is from the base year of 2022. It includes fifty percent reserve wines in the blend from the solera he created for this bottling beginning back in 2015. The vins clairs are half raised in stainless steel and half in older casks, so fifty percent of the still wines went through malolactic fermentation for this bottling. The wine is beautifully expressive on the nose, delivering a complex mix of pear, apple, chalky minerality, fresh almond, brioche, gentle smokiness, buttery oak and a lovely topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, precise and complex, with a superb core of fruit, fine soil signature, elegant mousse and a long, seamlessly balanced and vibrant finish. This is excellent. 2025-2050. 93+.(From John Gilman’s, “A View from the Cellar”)

Unafraid of varietal choice, wood, or dosage, there’s a quiet confidence here that points to the young winemaker moving this family estate to the forefront.
