Amotus is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alta Vista Vineyard on Moon Mountain—old vines planted in the early 1970s and dry-farmed on rocky, volcanic slopes above Sonoma Valley. The site’s elevation and poor, fast-draining soils give naturally small clusters and a dark, mineral-tinged profile. Fermented with native yeast and raised in a mixture of new and used french oak. In the glass it’s focused and savory—blackcurrant and dark cherry layered with cedar, graphite and mountain herbs—framed by firm, fine tannins
