Biodynamically farmed Cabernet-led Pauillac from deep gravel and clay over limestone, the 2020 is a high-density, precision-built vintage at Pontet-Canet. Parcels were vinified gently in concrete, oak vats, and amphora, preserving purity while moderating extraction in a hot, low-yield year. The wine shows blackcurrant and ripe plum, graphite, violets, and subtle cocoa, framed by ultra-fine, ripe tannins. Despite its power, acidity stays fresh, and the élevage—split between barrels and amphora—adds polish without heaviness. A deeply structured, mineral, modern-classic Pontet-Canet with long aging runway.
