This biodynamically farmed Chardonnay comes from the high, stony terrace of Chevalier-Montrachet, where thin soils over hard limestone give power with exceptional tension. The fruit is hand-harvested and gently pressed, then fermented with native yeasts in oak. Élevage runs about twelve months in barrels with a restrained share of new wood, followed by six months in tank to harmonize before a light fining. The 2023 is concentrated yet crystalline, layering citrus and stone-fruit depth with white-flower perfume, fine pastry and hazelnut nuances, and a long, chalk-saline finish.
