Carre Freres Les Maladries, Champagne, France (2021)
$125.00
Les Maladries is a single-site Blanc de Noirs crafted from 100 % Pinot Noir planted in 2005 in the Grand Cru village of Verzy, located on the Montagne de Reims. Édouard and Victor Carré—fourth-generation vignerons—farm a total of 21 hectares of organic vines across Champagne and the Côte des Bars, combining heritage roots (dating back to the 1890s) with minimal-intervention methods and long élevage in barrel and bottle.
The 2021 cuvée was hand-harvested, pressed, and vinified in 300 L new oak barrels, followed by 30 months on lees in bottle before its Extra‑Brut 2 g/L dosage and late 2023 disgorgement
