VITICULTURE: Practicing organic; manual harvest and stringent grape selection
VINIFICATION: Direct press and selection of the first juices; cold settling for 12 to 24 hours without enzymes, then the juice is put into barrels; fermentation in barrels, demi-muids and foudres.
AGING: 8 months oak aging with partial malolactic fermentation; minimum 40 months of ageing in bottles and minimum 3 months after disgorgement, no fining and light filtration, disgorgement with dosage liqueur vinified in barrels. Dosage: 4g/L; disgorgement September 2022
NOTES: A blend of all three primary grapes grown in the villages of Moussy, Pierry and Chavot-Courcourt, this 2018 has aromas of stonefruit and dried flowers that lead to a lively and refeshing palate. Les Massales is a promising introduction to the Tellier lineup.
