From the winery This is our first release from Black Vineyard in Coombsville. Shaunt and I started farming this vineyard in 2017, so we are really excited to finally release a wine from this truly historic site. Black Vineyard was the first vineyard in the Coombsville AVA to have a vineyard designated wine made from it and we have spent the last few years rehabilitating the vineyard as it had fallen a bit into disrepair. This wine is delicious and really changed our minds about the potential of making natural wine from Napa. We destem the grapes and ferment on skins for about 14 days. We raise the wine in neutral barrels for two years before bottling and then keep the wine in bottle for another year before release. Also bottled with no sulfites, really showing off the potential for classic and serious sans-soufre stuff.""
