2020 Lectores Vini 'La Seleccion' Montsant, Conca de Barbera, Spain

NOTES: A blend of 80% Garnacha, 15% Carignan, and 5% Syrah, from four organically farmed, 10-40 year-old vineyards in the historic village of Masroig, planted at varying altitudes (at an average of 300m) on red clay loam soils. The summer of 2020 was humid and not extremely warm. Grapes were harvested by hand between September 7th and 14th, 90% de-stemmed, and macerated for a quick 9 days with 10% whole clusters. After pressing, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, then aged for 9 months in stainless steel. Light filtration before bottling on July 16, 2021. 7,020 bottles produced.
