2021 Brovia Garblet Sue Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy
$135.00
Garblèt Sue comes from a small, southeast-facing 0.8 ha parcel on marl-limestone soils in Castiglione Falletto. The Nebbiolo vines here were planted between 1970 and 1979, yielding small, concentrated bunches. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in open-top vessels with extended maceration, followed by aging in large neutral French and Slavonian casks. The 2021 vintage shows a structural, mineral-driven profile—firm, transparent, and built for the cellar, but already detailed in its aromatic expression. Production was limited in this vintage due to frost-reduced yields, making this an especially focused and ageworthy release.
Wine lands the last week of July, 2025.
