2022 Enderle & Moll Pinot a Trois, Baden, Germany

Formely called Ménage à trois, a name that was then forbidden by the German wine authorities) is the "Super Pinot" from Sven Enderle and Florian Moll. Sourced from the three "noble" E+M plots (Ida, Buntsandstein and Muschelkalk), the grapes are picked at the same time and fermented and aged together in just one single barrel. The sample of the 2015 is ripe, intense, very precise and pure on the nose, with refreshing lemon flavors. Clear, fresh and pure, with cassis flavors and very good concentration, this is a very elegant, silky textured, sweet, intense and firmly structured Pinot. It has a long and fresh finish, but lots of ripe fruit flesh, as well as flinty and lemony flavors in the pure finish.
