NV Valerie Tissot, Crémant de Jura Rosé
$32.00
The history of this domaine really begins in 1965 with the wedding of Jean-Louis Tissot and Françoise Masson, but Valérie’s great-grandfather, Albert Piroutet, was already one of the founders of the Wine Fruitière d'Arbois (created in 1906) and one of the strongest supporters of the AOC Arbois (first decree AOC France, May 15, 1936). Valérie's other great-grandfather, Albert Masson, was champagniseur in Arbois. The wines champagnisés (precursors of the current Crémant du Jura) have existed for a very long time in the Tissot's vineyard.
Today the farm is run by Valérie and her brother Jean-Christophe. It comprises fifteen hectares, spread over the communes of Arbois and Montigny-les Arsures. All varieties are grown: Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Black for the reds, Chardonnay and Savagnin for the whites. VOS started to import her wines in 2014.
