2023 Kobayashi Cabernet Franc Washington, USA
$90.00
The fruit for the 2023 Kobayashi Cabernet Franc comes from two sites within the Columbia Valley: Blue Mountain Vineyard, a cooler Walla Walla vineyard planted in the foothills of the Blue Mountains on windblown loess soils, and Red Willow, a high-elevation site in Yakima Valley planted on an east-facing parcel with sandy loam soils. The fruit was fermented with ambient yeasts in stainless steel and concrete before aging for 22 months in a 1,200L French oak foudre. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
