Terroir: Although wines have been made here
for over 100 years, the region was only granted
Me status in 1080. The vinevards are planted on
the south sice of the foothills of the Montelunto
mountain range and are protected from the
Atlantic influence by the Alenquer Valley hills.
The soils are clay-limestone with low fertility
and a slight slope. giving them a northern
Viticulture: The vineyard is made up of two
grade vanees- an lama - in are
traditional in the region but that nowadays are
very under represented.
