a small 1,200 vine plot located in the village of Alf, tucked luckily between two residential houses, and thus largely ignored and forgotten until Ulli got the rights to the vineyard in 2011. Largely planted in the year 1900, this is the second oldest known Riesling producing vineyard in the world. Less than 1,000 liters produced each vintage, from red iron riddled slate the wine has a stirn density, terse and very fine phenolics from small berries laden with minerals, the wine generally is left to finish in the Feinherb range. The 2022 has 15 grams of RS and 7.7 grams of acid.
