For the first time stateside, San Barnaba’s Timorasso Derthona arrives—rounding out the trio’s range beyond Nebbiolo, Freisa, and Pelaverga. The fruit comes from their plantings in the Colli Tortonesi, the historic heart of Timorasso. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts in barrique, followed by élevage in large Slavonian oak, and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur. True to San Barnaba’s cellar philosophy, it is patient and precise: a textured white of orchard fruit, citrus oil, and saline minerality, with the structure and depth that mark Timorasso as one of Italy’s most ageworthy grapes.
