Grapes: 2020/2021 was mostly Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, and Chasselas, accompanied by Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling.

Vineyard: various plots of the Domaine, mainly on granite soils, including very beautiful hillside terroirs — Hinterberg, Sonnenberg and Bildstoecklé. Practicing biodynamics, phytotherapy, and the precepts of permaculture and regenerative agriculture. Vineyards certified organic since 2023.

Making of: Once gently pressed, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations happen spontaneously over many months with natural yeasts in old oak barrels and foudres. Aged 11 months on the lees in the same vessels in Christian’s bioclimatic cellar. Blended and bottled unfined. A small part (25%) of the 2020/2021 blend was lightly filtered and lightly sulfured. The rest of the blend, like all of his wines, is unfined and unfiltered, with zero sulfur added.

Personality: a fruity, easy-drinking white with a pleasant acidity that brings a whole range of saveurs (flavors) to any day of the week!
