CELLIER SAINT BENOIT
In 2019, Benjamin Benoit was already making a name for himself in Burgundy (via apprenticeships with Amélie Berthaut and Charles Lachaux) when fate suddenly called him back to his home in Pupillin. When he was just 23, his father passed away unexpectedly and overnight the family estate was in his care.
And, just as suddenly, 2 hectares of conventionally-farmed vines became 6, starting with lutte raisonnée and working towards increasingly natural farming and winemaking (and all with just one employee).

Immediately, Benjamin’s 2019s were met with (positive) shock: achieving a high thread count from the start, they’re sophisticated, Burgundian, and somehow still very Pupillin.
Fast forward just a couple vintages and he’s working in a new cellar, with fresh equipment and growing his barrel count. The whole operation is very refined, but never condescending: he’s particularly humble, simply doing what he knows to be best.

Benjamin may be young but he works very, very hard – combined with incredibly natural talent, the result is a lineup well-worthy of its roots in Burgundy and Pupillin’s small circles.
The range of what he's making can be dizzying (6 Ploussards alone!) so we've done our best to select a wide representation of his work:
