About this experience

Though technically French, Corsica is culturally Italian and its ancient viticulture (Phoenicians!) reflects its many rulers over the generations. The Tuscans and Genoese ruled the roost for several hundred years, and today classic Italian varietals Sangiovese and Vermentino thrive on Corsica under the names Niellucio and Vermentinu.

The wines are as flexible with food as you'd expect from any Italian bottling. But - they're distinctly not Italian wines. France's influence over the past 300 years deeply informs an effortless, pure-fruited style.

Characterful, aromatic and at times powerful, the best Corsican wines can confidently sit on any multi-starred wine list.

We'll be joined by Grand Cru Selections' Michael Nelson, for a deep dive of this super unique (and delicious) place.
