Anna's story is an extremely compelling version of the archetypal young star taking the reins of their family estate: once a massive, more industrial domaine in Alentejo, she cut the scale dramatically, now farming 100 hectares (still a lot!) of what was 240. But the work was meticulous: with the help of Pedro Parra, vines were selected for optimal response to regenerative and biodynamic practices. 7 years later, the wines are energetic expressions of Alentejo terroir, a firm counterpoint to the region's historical caricatures. We'll be digging in.
