Deep Dive: Latitude

Because wine makes geography fun...

Location

Upstairs at Leon and Son Brooklyn

Cost:

$40.00 per person

Duration:

1h 30min

About this experience

Grapes thrive between the 30th and 50th parallels of both hemispheres. And many of the most famous wine regions sit at the exact same latitude (case in point, 45N is home to Bordeaux, Piedmont, and the Willamette Valley; 34S is home to Stellenbosch, Mendoza, and Margaret River). Is it careful planning or one of life's greatest mysteries? And more importantly—how does that impact what's in your glass? We'll be putting our theories to the (taste) test
