This is only Dostert's second directly pressed Pinot Gris since 2021. This is one of his higher plots and so it almost always is the last parcel harvested. This wine marks the end of the harvest. And while Pinot Gris can often have some plushness, an oily-herbal quality that gets lazy in many of the world's commercially successful Pinot Grigios, here we have Pinot Gris in its most sauve and finessed form. This is absolutely spectacular wine; a Pinot Gris with energy and lift. - vB
