2023 Drink Wines Not Labels Pinot Nero Langhe, Piedmont, Italy
$54.00
Alessandro Salvano’s DWNL project stands on a simple yet radical premise: good wine without the glamour of big names. This Pinot Nero comes from sustainably farmed hillside vineyards in Montelupo Albese—just outside Serralunga d’Alba.
Fermented with 100% whole clusters, the wine spends around 10 days on skins with native yeasts, then is aged in neutral oak (large format) before bottling unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfur. The result is a ruby-red Pinot with surprising depth.
