Location: The domaine is located in the village of Sampigny-les-Maranges, in the Côte d’Or region of Burgundy in Eastern France.
Variety: Chardonnay
Vineyard: Grapes come from a single 0.28ha parcel planted in 1988 & 1989, at 200m with a Southern exposure. Vines are planted on limestone soils. Farming is certified biodynamic, with a focus on biodiversity in their parcels.
Vinification: After being hand-harvested, the grapes are pressed directly into large vats for spontaneous fermentation, then transferred to used oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 10mo aging. The wine is racked, with a light filtration before bottling. No fining, with minimal amounts of sulfur are added as needed. ABV: 12%
Tasting note: Expressive aromas of yellow fruit and white flowers. This wine is smooth and fleshy on the palate, with great freshness.
